1. Who we are
This website (gobesttransfer.com) is operated by:
[Legal business name, e.g. "Go Best Transfer I.K.E."]
[Registered address]
[Tax/VAT number, if applicable]
Phone: +30 690 738 2868
Email: [privacy contact email]
We are the "data controller" for the personal data described in this policy — meaning we decide why and how it is processed.
2. What information we collect
This site is intentionally simple: it does not have user accounts, does not run a database, and does not process online payments. Here is exactly what happens:
Booking form
When you fill in the booking form (vehicle, route, date, name, etc.) and press "Send request on WhatsApp," the site does not transmit that data to us or store it anywhere. It simply opens WhatsApp (or wa.me) on your device with a pre-filled message containing the details you entered. Nothing is sent until you personally press send inside WhatsApp. From that point, the message and any reply are handled by WhatsApp under WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy (WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.).
Information collected automatically
Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider and any content delivery network (CDN) in front of the site automatically logs basic technical information for security and performance purposes, typically including:
- IP address
- Browser type and version, device type
- Pages visited and time of visit
- Referring website
We do not currently run any analytics software (e.g. Google Analytics) on this site. If that changes in future, this policy and the site's cookie notice will be updated accordingly, and consent will be requested where required.
Third-party content loaded by the page
To display properly, this page loads a small number of resources directly from third-party servers. When your browser requests these, your IP address is visible to that third party in the same way it would be visiting their site directly:
| Resource | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Web fonts | Google Fonts (Google LLC) | Typography (Montserrat, Inter) |
| Destination photos | Wikimedia Commons | Illustrative location images |
| Background video | Mixkit | Homepage video |
| Messaging link | WhatsApp / Meta Platforms, Inc. | Booking enquiries |
3. How we use it
- To respond to booking enquiries you send us via WhatsApp or phone
- To operate, secure, and maintain the website
- To understand and improve site performance (technical logs only)
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Legal basis for processing
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on:
- Legitimate interest — for basic technical/security logging needed to keep the site running safely.
- Consent — implicit in you choosing to open WhatsApp and send us a message; you are always in control of what you share and when.
- Contract / pre-contractual steps — for handling and responding to a transfer booking you've requested.
5. Who we share it with
We do not have a marketing list, CRM, or third-party booking platform connected to this site. The only "sharing" that occurs is the technical loading of the third-party resources listed in Section 2, plus WhatsApp/Meta once you choose to send us a message.
6. Cookies & similar technologies
This website does not set its own cookies and does not use browser local storage to track you. Some third-party resources (in particular Google Fonts and any embedded WhatsApp/Meta page you're redirected to) may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies once you leave or interact with their domains — we do not control those.
If we add analytics, advertising pixels, or chat widgets in future, a cookie consent banner will be added at that time in line with applicable ePrivacy/GDPR requirements.
7. How long we keep it
- Booking messages: retained in our WhatsApp Business account for as long as reasonably needed to handle your booking and any after-service, or until you ask us to delete the conversation.
- Server/technical logs: typically retained for a short rolling period (commonly 30–90 days) by our hosting provider, per their own retention policy.
8. International data transfers
Some of the third parties listed above (Google, Meta) are based in, or transfer data to, the United States. Where this happens, those providers rely on their own safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. We encourage you to review Google's and Meta's respective privacy policies for details of how they handle international transfers.
9. Your rights
If you are located in the EU/EEA or UK, under GDPR you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a portable copy of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Greece, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13.
10. Children's privacy
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Security
The site is served over HTTPS (encrypted connection) and does not store payment details or passwords, since there is no account system or online payment on this site. Payment for transfers is arranged directly with the driver/owner.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new features (like analytics or online payments). The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
